Highlights of the Louis Vuitton CarryAll PM bag

Louis Vuitton came out with this gorgeous new hobo style bag in 2022 – I believe it’s the newer, daintier version of Neverfull, which is currently one of the most loved LV bags to date. Below are some of the highlights of this beautiful CarryAll PM purse:

There are Two Sizes of this CarryAll bag

CarryAll MM (15.4 x 11.8 x 5.9 inches) size is more appropriate as a travel bag, as you can see it is similar to size of the Neverfull GM (15.8 x 13 x 7.9 inches). It has the same length as the Neverfull GM, but both height and width are approximately 1-2 inches shorter.

CarryAll PM (11.4 x 9.4 x 4.7 inches) size is more appropriate as an everyday hobo bag – it is super light-weight thanks to the canvas fabric, and it fits both petite and non-petite people. It still fits quite a bit of items. I was able to fit a large key chain (car key, apartment key, airpods, pepper spray) along with my wallet, snacks, and a pack of hand sanitizing wipes.

Special Features of the CarryAll bag

Thick Strap

The bag features a nice wide adjustable strap that can convert the bag between a shoulder bag and a cross-body bag. The strap has diverse settings allowing it to drop minimum of 10.6 inches to maximum of 18.9 inches. I am personally 5′ 2″ and found the minimum length to be perfect for the shoulder bag look. When I adjust it to the third hole from the bottom (approx. 14.7 inches drop), I was able to comfortably use as a crossbody bag. The width of the strap is perfect for everyday comfort – those of you who have suffered from thin leather straps digging into the shoulder know what I am talking about!

Tie

The dainty leather lace, combined with the magnetic closure, is such a perfect feature for this bag. It gives that euro-chic dainty, elevated feel yet it is totally utilitarian combined with the magnetic closure. The LV website shows the bag simply tied up or as a ribbon which, honestly, does not do justice to this clever system. Buckle

The buckle is really awesome – as outlined in the Thick Strap description, it is highly adjustable. Not only that, the ring is curved if you look at it in its profile. This structure may look simple but allows the actual leather strap to sit straight within the buckle, so if you end up adjusting the strap after a while of using it in one particular setting, the leather won’t be deformed (more details in this video).

Luggage Tag

The bag comes with a cute leather luggage tag with metal initials “LV.” It’s quite simple but adds so much character to the bag!

Corner Protector

Some people have pointed out that CarryAll does not come with a metal or leather protector of the corners as a concern. While it may be of a concern, I do want to point out that the Neverfull also does not come with the corner protectors. Full corner protectors typically only come with bags in much higher price range such as Side Trunk ($3,800) and Petite Malle ($5,700) (check out the details in this video).

Pochette

CarryAll PM comes with a matching pochette, with the same monogram canvas finish and wine-colored zip top. It can be detached and used as a standalone pochette for running errands, etc. or, it can stay with the bag to hold smaller items.

Fleece Bag Insert / Liner

I am a big sucker for bag liners as I have learned the hard way that even the most expensive luxury bags can easily get ruined by a pen or makeup that loses its cap. I lost my very first luxury bag to a ballpoint pen whose cap got unscrewed… and I’ve used all kinds of cleaning methods without success. Whatever can remove ballpoint pen can ruin your leather. Since then I’ve used fleece liners, and I am a happy customer! Besides protecting the bag from its contents, it also gives extra structure to the bag – making it look “newer” for longer. I’ve used Samorga “1-30/ LV-Carryall-PM-F) Bag Organizer for LV Carryall PM : F-Type” for my CarryAll. It comes with four pockets and fits perfectly.

Metal Feet

There are four metal feet at the bottom of the bag engraved Louis Vuitton. This is an enhancement from Neverfull which does not have any feet. The feature will keep the bag more pristine if you tend to set the bag down on the floor or rougher surface, let’s say at a cafe or a restaurant (shown here).
